Captain Duran was born and raised in the Bahamas. Duran has over seventeen years of experience on both Private and Chartered yachts traveling throughout the Bahamas and South Florida and has made vessel deliveries up to the northeastern United States. Duran has a very warm and welcoming personality and always goes above and beyond to ensure that his guests are comfortable, satisfied and enjoying their vacation.

He has a passion for deep sea and reef fishing. Duran and his crew await to welcome you and your guests aboard Starting Over for an unforgettable yacht charter vacation.

Stewardess: Teodora Niculescu

Teodora (Teo) was born and raised until the age of 11 years old in Romania, Eastern Europe. She and her parents then immigrated to Los Angeles. After university, Teodora perused a career in hospitality management. She worked for top luxury brands in the restaurant and nightlife arenas, which is what brought her to the Bahamas where she was in management at a luxury resort.

After some traveling, she continued her hospitality strengths through yachting while pursuing other personal projects. Teodora loves working on yachts because she feels most at peace around the ocean, loves traveling, thrilling adventures and never the same day twice! She is an amazing barista!

Chef: Joel Johnson

Locally known in The Bahamas as Chef Jay, prefers to make his food from scratch. With more than 10 years in the culinary industry, working alongside many great chefs and in many world renowned restaurants, he was able to sharpen his craft mastering Thai, Japanese, Mediterranean, French and American cuisine. With his knowledge and experience, Joel has become a private chef and a foodservice consultant as well. Now with Chef Jay catering he is ready and willing to take on all tasks presented to him with a beautiful execution of both flavor and presentation.
